In our work we very often use various VoIP and Network diagnostic tools. All of the natively work and are easily available on Linux platform. Unfortunately when investigating SIP and/or network related problem on customer’s network we are often limited to Windows environment only. Below you will find assorted collection of utility programs that run on Windows OS.

  • sipsak is a small command line tool for developers and administrators of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) applications. It can be used for some simple tests on SIP applications and devices – Windows download
  • iperf is a commonly used network testing tool that can create TCP and UDP data streams and measure the throughput of a network that is carrying them. – Windows download
  • mtr investigates the network connection between the host mtr runs on and remote host, by sending packets with purposly low TTLs. It continues to send packets with low TTL, noting the response time of the intervening routers. This allows mtr to print the response percentage and response times of the internet route to remote host. A sudden increase in packetloss or response time is often an indication of a bad (or simply overloaded) link. Windows 32bit download, Windows 64bit download,Mac OSX download
