Hi, I have been looking for a video card that can work with my PowerEdge T100 II for a long time, but unfortunately couldn’t find one. do you mind share some info here please?
Which card(s) do you install on your servers?
BTW, I’m in the USA .
Thank you
JB.

Hi John,
We use NVIDIA Quadro NVS 450 (quad display port) and NVIDIA Quadro NVS 310 (dual diplay port) cards.
Best regards,
Chris

Just upgraded to a T110 II but had the surprise that couldn’t use my other monitors. I have windows server 2008 R2. Would a NVS 450 have no problem then? Scared of the 25W max I have read out there and the NVS 450 says its 35W max power consumption.
Can you clear that out for me?

Hi, for us NVS 450 (rev a1) + 4 screens works just fine for over a year now. Albeit in Linux OS, so can’t say for sure how it will behave with Windows drivers.

Thanks.
Guess what matters is the CPU? or the OS makes a difference? If not thinking of the NVS310 or a Radeon 5450.

Sorry, meant the power source. Which is only 200W. The NVS450 is supposed to be 35W and the NVS310 19W…being supposedly the T110 25W max…

Well, sorry but is it or is it not to use a graphics card 4th or greater on the t110? I want to use it for CAD purposes… Thank you.

Well, I use Nvidia + 4x 24″ screens on t110 for the last few years without any problem. However as you can read in comments above some people are reporting issues, so in general I would say use graphics workstation for CAD, not a server machine.

Hi, sorry to reply to such an old thread but what version of Linux are you running? I’ve tried a quadro and a a GT210 and I wasn’t able to get the nvidia drivers to work. The display is terrible.

Hi, I use proprietary nvidia driver v. 304.51 with Linux Mint Maya (based on Ubuntu Precise), my /etc/X11/xorg.conf for Quadro NVS 450 + 4x 24″ DELL screens below below:
