VoIP/SIP Support Engineer
Level 7 Systems as fast growing VoIP service provider requires a VoIP Engineer to be part of the Technical Operations Team, with responsibility for day to day Support of our clients. Someone with excellent communication skills, able to work as part of a team as well as managing their own work load and time management. Keen to learn – through on the job training, formal training and personal study.
A successful candidate will have skills in the following areas:
- Good understanding of networking protocols TCP/IP (SIP, RTP, DNS) with diagnostic and tracing experience
- Experienced in using network monitoring tools and applications
- A logical and methodical approach to problem solving
- Strong communication and customer service skills (in English language)
Desirable:
- Knowledge & experience of (hosted) IP PBX systems
- VoIP network topology design and in depth troubleshooting of complex fault scenarios
- Fluency in Linux console mode
Your duties as VoIP/SIP Support Engineer will include:
- Technical design and implementation of VoIP/SIP services
- Dealing with clients to assist with fault resolution
- Handling escalations from within the Technical Support team
- Answer customers technical questions, provide pre-sales technical support
- Work closely with Product Management to translate business requirements into technical solutions, including integration, testing and documentation to facilitate service delivery and support
